Katharine Dixon

Katharine Dixon, President & CEO, has been with Rebuilding Together DC • Alexandria since 2003 and has more than 25 years of project management experience. She sits on the Alexandria Housing Affordability Advisory Committee, the Advisory Councils of Northern Virginia Affordable Housing Alliance, and the Partnership to Prevent and End Homelessness, and has held leadership roles on the Alexandria Council of Human Services Organizations, the Alexandria Housing Master Plan Committee, and the Chamber of Commerce. She lives in DC with her Great Danes.

Sidney R. Glee

Sidney R. Glee, Director of Development, brings over 20 years of experience as a development executive. As a strategic planner, Sidney has leads teams who have secured millions of dollars and helped hundreds of thousands of our underserved neighbors. Sidney’s dedication to service has been recognized with prestigious awards, including being named Citizen of the Year by the Omega Psi Phi fraternity and Employee of the Year by the Salvation Army – Nassau County, NY. Additionally, he has received a Letter of Accommodation from the Town of Hempstead, New York, highlighting his outstanding contributions to his community. In his spare time, Sidney enjoys listening to music and reading.

Haig Paul

Haig Paul, Director of Programs, has volunteered with our organization as a House Captain and Team Leader for several years. Haig’s extensive construction and remodeling knowledge, customer service experience, and project management skills are put to daily use for our clients and projects. Haig is a native of Northern Virginia, and lives in Springfield with his wife and two children.

Ann Nguyen

Ann Nguyen, Office Manager, is the glue that holds everything together. She assists in the day to day management of the office and works directly with the President & CEO. Ann has lived in Alexandria for 50 years. She enjoys volunteering with the elderly, walking her two poodles, and traveling with her husband of 36 years. 

Nancy Lobo

Nancy Lobo is a dedicated leader in early childhood education with nearly a decade of experience. As Founder & Owner of The Magic Art Bus, she brings creativity to communities in the DMV area through interactive art experiences on wheels. Currently serving as Program Assistant for Rebuilding Together DC Alexandria, Nancy previously held the role of Director of Operations for the Child and Family Network Centers (CFNC), providing high-quality bilingual preschool education to low-income children. Nancy is passionate about developing programs to bridge developmental gaps in underserved communities, believing in the power of education to break the cycle of poverty. A first-generation college graduate from El Salvador, Nancy holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from George Mason University and has earned a Nonprofit Management Executive Certificate from Georgetown University, along with a Bachelor’s degree from Trinity University.

Chris Moore

Christopher C. Moore, Program Manager, began his career in project management over 15 years ago. This experience, collaborating with clients and various DC government agencies, has prepared him for his role with Rebuilding Together DC • Alexandria. A native of Pasadena, California, he graduated from Howard University with a degree in Architecture and Planning. Chris enjoys quality time with family, friends and good food. 

Shalawn March

Shalawn March, Program Manager, graduated from Howard University in May 2020 with a degree in Political Science and a focus in legal communications. She has worked with the Fund for the Public Interest, interned with Zellibelous Law Firm, and served as the Federal Relations Intern with Habitat for Humanity. She lives in DC and loves going out to see the ever-changing creative scene. 

Val Pehrson

Val Pehrson, Program Manager, is a DC native who is passionate about and eager to help people in his hometown and the surrounding area. A graduate of St. John’s College in Annapolis, Maryland, he worked in the garden center and rental team for Frager’s Hardware. In his free time, Val enjoys reading, biking, and learning new things!

Isabelle Levesque-Du Bose

Isabelle Levesque-Du Bose, Development and Communications Coordinator, hails from Miami and is a recent graduate of Bucknell University, holding a degree in Animal Behavior with a minor in Dance. At Bucknell, she served as Co-Director and Lead Monitor for the Dance Department and the Development Office.

Beyond her professional roles, Isabelle is a dedicated yoga teacher, a board member of Bucknell’s alumni DC chapter, and a mentor for LGBTQ+ youth. With a fervent commitment to impact-driven fundraising, she finds joy in art, staying active, and exploring DC’s green spaces.

Candy Cook Vance

Candy Cook Vance, Grant Administrator, was previously a Store Director of 32 years at Safeway. She is a Certified Professional Organizer (CPO) and enjoys shopping, movies, travelling, relaxing near water, and spending time with her family and friends.
