What an AMAZING start to our Spring project season! Thank you to the volunteers from Flag Star Football who brought energy, teamwork, and heart, to the work at our client’s home.
Volunteers completed major decluttering inside and outside the home, the replacement of window blinds, closet door repairs, and other exterior work. It was clear that Flag star volunteers knew a thing or two about what it means to give back to the community, and transferred those skills from the field to complete critical repairs for the homeowner and her family.
Thank you to Carl Ehrlich and Mark Mahar for being key players in this new partnership. Check out these photos from the project day! ... See MoreSee Less

In 1968, at the height of the Civil Rights Movement, the Fair Housing Act was signed into law. It was intended to protect people from discrimination when renting or purchasing a home, applying for a mortgage and seeking government subsidized housing assistance.
However, 55 years later, racial discrimination in housing continues to exist. Racist housing policies, like redlining, have had a long-lasting impact on communities of color and access to safe and affordable housing remains persistently unequal.
We invite you to learn about some of the many Black leaders – past and present – who have had a significant influence in our nation’s housing challenges and triumphs. Read more: rebuildingtogether.org/blog/celebrating-black-leaders-housing-past-and-present
