Last week, The Home Depot employees volunteered at Alexandria's Boys & Girls Club to provide much needed upgrades. Volunteers built shelving units to house the coats and backpacks given to children and they put a fresh coat of paint on the art room walls! Today, Shalawn March (program manager) and I presented at the @dacl_dc 2026 Grantee Kick-Off meeting. Shalawn spoke about DACL's Safe at Home program and our HUD Older Adult Home Modifications grant -- all to help aging adults remain in safe and healthy homes. Edwinta Washington (grant manager, Safe at Home) joined us as well!
